New TSCIP Certification Program Underway

The Secure Technology Alliance has announced dates for its new certification program, Transportation Security Certified Identification Professional (TSCIP). This is a new certification for individuals who need access to secure areas of maritime facilities, vessels or PACS (physical access control systems) using the TSA-mandated Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC®).  The security training course leads to a certification that recognizes professionals who have knowledge and experience in advanced TWIC card implementation for access security.

Gerry Smith, who works at ID Technology Partners and is one of the Alliance’s long-term training instructors, recently commended the Alliance for its vision in offering the TSCIP program, adding that “the maritime industry will receive much-needed orientation and guidance with respect to implementing TWIC cards into new or existing maritime physical access control systems.”

The certification is geared specifically to professionals in the following areas:

  • Maritime Facilities Management
  • Maritime Security Facility Officers / Port Police
  • Maritime Facilities PACS Integrators / Vendors
  • The Transportation Security Administration TWIC Program Office
  • The U.S. Coast Guard

The program is a joint effort between the Secure Technology Alliance and ID Technology Partners, a consulting and technical services organization with renowned TWIC technology experience.

Secure Technology Alliance Webinar:  Electric Vehicle Charging Payments Innovations

The Secure Technology Alliance is hosting a webinar on payment platform innovations for EV charging stations to educate industry stakeholders on new technologies that can address this challenge.

The webinar, “Electric Vehicle Charging Payments Innovations,” will be held on February 5, 2020 at 1pm ET/10am PT. Registration is available at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/4899176826887341569.
