Hardware and Technical Updates Made to CSEIP Program

Over the last few months, updates and changes to the CSEIP program have been implemented, and feedback has been positive from those taking the certification course.

Specifically:

  • New PIV and PIV-I GSA test cards were procured and are now being used. This small change has had a significant impact on the student workstations
  • Trust paths are different from previous versions; to properly use the new cards, new trust paths were built and tested in student workstations used for the hands-on portion of the certification course
  • New material, with updated screen shots and procedures, were created, and the material was tested in the 20 student workstations
  • Students participating in the CSEIP certification course are now experiencing both a client server environment as well as practicing on both a 13.01 and 13.02 system that is engineered with the traditional third-party hardware integration (HID PAM) and a 13.02 approach, where the Certificate Validation System is created by the PACS system manufacturer.  Additional manufacturers have expressed interest in having their solutions used for the CSEIP certification

If anyone has questions about the updates, please feel free to contact Lars Suneborn at Lsuneborn@idtp.com.
