News and Notes of Interest
  • The Certified System Engineering ICAM PACS material was updated to include new NIST SP 800-116 r1 changes. July’s CSEIP Certification course included the updated material
  • CSCIP suite book of knowledge and related prep course material are updated to reflect current market size and growth
  • New student workstations, new course content and courseware for CSEIP are being readied
  • A closed, government-only CSCIP/G prep course and exam are scheduled for early October
  • The end of August will have seen: 9 CSEIP certification courses; 8 CSEIP recertification classes; 2 CSCIP/G certification courses; and 1 CSCIP/P certification course
  • The number of agencies now requiring the CSEIP Certification continues to expand. The latest is Department of Energy; two staff members participated in the August course and exam
  • The long-distance award goes to Hawaii, where two different system integrators now have CSEIP certified staff members

      Unless noted otherwise, CSCIP trainings will be held at the National Center of Advanced Payments and Identity Security located in Crystal City, just outside of Washington, D.C. at 2900 Crystal Drive, Arlington, Virginia.

      CSCIP Exam Grading

      Applicants must receive a passing (70% correct) grade on all parts of the exam to receive a CSCIP, CSCIP/G or CSCIP/P certification. Notification of grades will be sent approximately two weeks after completing the exam.

          2019 CSEIP Recertification Dates

          The following dates have been set aside for CSEIP recertification in 2019.  Recertification extends the value of the CSEIP certification by demonstrating that the CSEIP certificant is current with new requirements and refreshes knowledge of the original information.  This is online and instructor-led, and is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET – 3 p.m. ET. The hour-long exam follows, from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.  Check the CSEIP portion of the website for specifics and updates:
